Animal Bytes
Programs are free, open to all ages, and may include animal encounters, amphitheater presentations, and animal training sessions. Look for the Animal Bytes sign located on the walkway into the zoo.
Schedule:
April-May: Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., weather permitting
June-August: Daily at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., weather permitting
September: Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., weather permitting
Duck Feeding
Duck feeding will be offered daily, April 15-October 16, 2011 from 10-10:30 am and 3-3:30 pm, weather permitting.
Cost: $1/serving
Eco-Exploration Backpack Tours
Cosley Zoo is offering backpack tours that will help families experience Cosley Zoo in a whole new way. These eco-friendly packs are filled with hands-on activities and discovery items such as scent jars, binoculars, and duck identification cards. Each pack focuses on a different theme and will act as a “tour guide” as you make your way through the zoo, highlighting various exhibits and promoting animal and habitat conservation messages. So test your senses with our Animal Senses tour or venture into the Illinois Wilds today.
Backpack tours are a great way for parents and children to explore the zoo together.
- Fee $2.00 per pack per visit
- Successfully complete your adventure and receive an official Eco-Explorer button. Complete each theme to collect all 8 buttons!
